SysInfo VMDK Recovery Tool recovers data from corrupted or damaged VMware VMDK files. It supports fixed and dynamic virtual disk types, including split, SPARSE, FLAT, and descriptor VMDK files. For split disks, all parts must be in the same folder so the software can detect and process them together.
The software provides Standard and Advanced scanning modes for different levels of corruption, along with three recovery modes: Standard, Advanced, and Deep. It supports Master Boot Record (MBR) and GUID Partition Table (GPT) partition styles. Supported file systems include FAT, FAT16, FAT32, FAT64, NTFS, HFS+, and EXTX.
Users can select a volume, define custom settings such as start and end sectors, or add a custom volume. RAW recovery is available, and users can add file signatures when needed. After scanning, recovered files and folders appear in a tree structure for preview. The built-in search option helps locate files by name or type.
The tool allows users to save recovered VMDK files or extract selected files and folders to a chosen location. It supports VMDK files associated with VMware Workstation, VMware Fusion, ESX, ESXi, VirtualBox, QEMU, and Parallels Desktop for Mac.
The product supports Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7, and Windows Server 2008/2012 (32-bit and 64-bit). The free demo allows users to preview recoverable data; saving recovered data requires the licensed version. Available editions include Single, Admin, Technician, and Enterprise with an easy interface.
